Why Dinoland USA is Disney’s most underrated land...

If you have ever visited Walt Disney World‘s Animal kingdom, you may have stumbled across a land that resembles somewhat of a cheap roadside fair. You probably thought to yourself “wow this really isn’t the standard of immersive theming Disney is known for “ . That land is Dinoland USA aka Walt Disney Worlds most underrated themed area.

•Backstory

To truly appreciate Dinoland you first must know the backstory to the area.

The year is 1947 and amateur palaeontologists have discovered & unearthed some dinosaur fossils in a small highway town. After gathering a bunch of other young palaeontologists they decided to purchase the site where they then founded the Dino-Institute , the old fishing lodge of the area was over-run by the college students to become Restaurantosaurus and the dig site (the boneyard) quickly became an attraction for tourists. Two locals to the area Chester & Hester , saw the opportunity to make a quick buck and converted their roadside gas station to a fossil souvenir store. They also converted their parking lot into a highway side fair filled with rides & sideshow games called Chester & Hester’s Dino-Rama.

•Attractions

The starring E-Ticket attraction of Dinoland USA is “ DINOSAUR “ . A high speed thrilling journey back in time to help Dr. Seeker resuce the Iguanodon he previously tagged from extinction. This ride features periods of darkness , sharp turns & sudden drops and jerks. Other rides featured in this land include Triceratops Spin ( Revolving Dinosaurs similar to the Dumbo flat ride ) , Primevil Whirl ( A spinning take on the classic wild mouse style roller coaster ) & The Boneyard , an interactive children’s play area & dig site .

•Donald’s Dino Bash Characters & Dance Party

Donald’s Dino-bash was introduced in the summer of 2018 and is based on Donald Duck is celebrating that ducks are in-fact related to dinosaurs . Donald’s Dinobash has quickly transformed the once “Boring” area into being one of Walt Disney Worlds premier character meet & greet experiences. Donald has brought several of his character friends along ( and some party crashers in the form of Chip-n-Dale ) along to help him party the day away . Guest are able to experience amazingly themed meet & greets with incredibly low wait times .

Characters at Donald’s dinobash are all wearing overlay outfits to theme the area. Wether it’s Scrooge & Launchpads celebratory dinobash buttons , Goofys Crazy Carnival outfit or even Chip - n - Dales adorable dinosaur onesies , you are sure to have a memorable character experience

Starting at 5pm everyday (Weather permitting ) Dinoland transformed into party central with chip-n-Dales very own dino dance party ! Kids & Adults of all ages are invited to bust a move with our two furry friends all while listening to the hits both new & old .
